New Product Launches Signify Continued Growth in Sustainable Sourcing at Expo West
The Natural Products Expo West — the nation’s largest trade show in natural, organic and healthy products — kicks off this week, and this year’s exhibit features numerous product launches from companies committed to sourcing sustainably from Rainforest Alliance CertifiedTM farms. The Rainforest Alliance is seeing an increasing number of companies make serious commitments to sustainability, and five companies will highlight their new commitments and product launches at this year’s Expo.
“Expo West is the go-to show for the natural foods industry and provides an important venue for companies to highlight social, environmental and economic responsibility,” said Alex Morgan, senior manager of sustainable agriculture at the Rainforest Alliance. “These new commitments and product launches reflect the growing recognition of the Rainforest Alliance Certified green frog seal as a global symbol of sustainability, with 500 new companies registering to buy or sell certified products in 2011.”
